Have you ever heard of a car show that doesn’t want you there if you have shiny billet aluminum or chrome? You have now. Welcome to Beatersville! Phoenix Hill Tavern in Louisville KY. hosts just such a show. About 350 cars, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles and just about anything that rolled was present at the show. “The Hill” as it is called around Louisville, is located in the historic area of downtown and across the street from Cave Hill Cemetery. The Beatersville car show theme included awesome tattoos, piercings as well as pin-striping being done on vehicles as well as people. Booths were set up dealing in Kustom Kulture clothing and memorabilia and hard to find car parts much like a swap meet. Many of the cars present were not cars that might be seen at your regular run of the mill car show. There was a Kulture pin-up girl pageant with several of the ladies dressed for the occasion and voting was done by the attending crowd. The show itself was very cool and just a little bit different from the norm and I guess that’s what made it such a success.
